Circumstance Distillery Organic Single Grain Rye Whisky Batch #2, 70cl
This bottle is from the first organic release of Circumstance Distillery's Rye Whisky, made with 51% malted rye and 49% malted barley fermented using a mead yeast for 14 days. This whisky was aged in a 220L ex tawny port cask.
It has flavours of toasted almonds, dried apricots, dried figs, black pepper, mace and cinnamon. 48.2% Alc.

Circumstance Distillery, based in the heart of Bristol, is known for it's highly innovative approach to distilling. The team are unwaveringly focused on getting as much flavour into their spirits as they possibly can. To achieve this they use a 'flavour first' approach, meaning all decisions in the distillery consider flavour above all else.
Within this ‘flavour first’ approach is the principle of layering flavours. To create these layers of flavour they use multi-grain mash bills, brewing yeasts and seriously long open fermentations.
