Weetwood is a multi-award-winning brewery and distillery based in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside near Tarporley. It was established in 1992 on a farm in the tiny hamlet of Weetwood. It is still independent and family owned-and-run. Their flagship whisky is "The Cheshire" Single Malt Whisky.
To minimise their environmental impact Weetwood have invested in a large bank of solar panels which run along the length of the brewery and distillery roof and generate a significant portion of the power needed on site. Their additional electricity supply is zero carbon. Spent grains from the production process are donated to a local farmer to feed cattle. The glass bottles are recyclable as well as the materials used to package them.
