Two Drifters Rum
Two Drifters Distillery have an electric distillery run on 100% renewable energy, electric vehicles, carbon neutral packaging and courier, sustainable merchandise, closed loop chilling system; their new bottle design creates significantly less CO2.
For the CO2 that can’t be avoided, for example shipping the molasses, farming the sugarcane, glass bottle production, etc. Two Drifters either look for a sustainable alternative or physically remove more than their entire footprint creates, giving them an overall negative carbon footprint. Amazing!
Most rum distilleries have a footprint of 2.95 kgCO2e (not always accounting for the entire end to end emissions). But Two Drifters then permanently remove their 1.20 kgCO2e (and more) using Climeworks, a carbon removal business (different to offsetting!). So their total footprint is less than 0 kgCO2e!
