The Oxford Spirits Group

The Oxford Spirits Group is a venture dedicated to reviving artisanal distilling in Oxford. The project is led by Tom Nicolson, the original founder of The Oxford Artisan Distillery (TOAD), [now closed] and aims to restore spirits production to the historic Cheney Farm site in South Park.

Plans include reviving a craft distillery producing gin, English rye whisky, and seasonal spirits as well as educational workshops and masterclasses on brewing and distilling.

As of late 2025, the group has submitted planning applications for a multi-million-pound investment to retain and upgrade the existing site buildings. The venue is currently aiming to open to visitors in summer 2026.
