The English Distillery Chapter 18 Single Malt Whisky, 70cl

"When releasing a whisky, I have always concentrated on what it tastes like more than how old it is, what cask type or the minutiae of the grain used. This has, over the years, resulted in a series of single cask and single malt whiskies that have been widely recognised as great whiskies to drink.

I am very aware that as the first registered whisky distillery in England, some of our whiskies are bought for collection rather than drinking (and for that, I am humbled), but I sincerely hope those buying this release are going to open it and enjoy it, share it with friends and join us celebrating over 18 years of distilling and to raise a glass to many more to come."

Nose: Rich caramel, sweet cinnamon, red berries, fragrant apples, vanilla ice cream
Palate: Stewed orchard fruits mingle with rhubarb and custard, boiled sweets with hints of oak, burnt toffee, spicy black pepper
Finish: A long spicy finish with lingering brown sugar and cinnamon

Casks Used: A selection of ASB, PX, Sherry and Virgin Oak Casks
Ages Used: Selected from casks aged 10 years, 12 years, 15 years and 18 years
