Cotswolds Distillery makes consistently highly rated English Whisky and this trio showcases their prowess beautifully. These three bottles give a great insight into different styles that can be produced in a single location. All of them have won Gold Awards.

Cotswolds Distillery Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky
This particular bottling was matured in both American and Spanish oak barrels which previously held Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherries. The nose has appealing toasty fruitcake notes, with spiced apple, brown sugar, and candied ginger. On the palate, there is orange peel, dried fruits and vanilla.

It has won 3 separate Gold Medals, the most recent being at The World Whiskies Awards in 2025. A real treat, and testament to just how good English Whiskies can be.

Cotswolds Distillery Signature Single Malt Whisky
Hints of Honey, butterscotch and stoned orchard fruits with a hint of marzipan. Treacle and spiced marmalade. This is the original single malt whisky from the Cotswolds Distillery (and indeed the first single malt whisky to ever be distilled in the Cotswolds!). Produced using barley grown  locally in the Cotswolds, distilled in their substantial copper pot stills, before being aged in a mix of ex-bourbon and red wine casks.

Not just a Gold Award winner but a brace of Silver `Awards too! If you've never tried an English Whisky, this is as good a place to start as any!

Cotswolds Distillery Peated Cask Single Malt Whisky
This whisky has been deliberately aged in ex-peated quarter casks - these are much smaller than your standard whisky cask and add a delicate smokiness to the whisky. Think harmonious and well integrated, rather than a beast of a peat monster. Distinctive and stylish, but with none of the overpowering intensity of an Islay malt.
