Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask is aged in Shaved, Toasted and Re-charred ex-Red Wine casks bringing a balanced and nuanced maturation. The use of these casks creates the perfect environment for their light and creamy whisky to draw out the delicious red fruit flavours from the wood. Created using a bespoke oak solera method to achieve a consistent, repeatable flavour profile over time.

Soft and malty with flavours of biscuit, marzipan, boiled sweets and red fruits.

Made from field to bottle with 100% homegrown barley

Made using a solera-style approach, technically a fractional blending method, every time Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask is bottled, the casks holding the whisky are incrementally backfilled with casks carefully selected from the warehouse. This keeps the flavour profile consistent, while allowing the whisky to gain age, depth and complexity.
