The Lakes Whiskymaker's Editions Resfeber 70cl

From the Lakes Distillery in Cumbria, 'Resfeber' has a core of cream sherry seasoned casks and additional character from red wine barriques, Resfeber bottles the excitement and energy at the outset of a journey, the restless race of the traveller’s heart before setting off.

Venture into less-explored sherry cask territory - vibrant and complex, creamy yet tart, with aromas of apple dipped in toffee treacle, gentle baking spices, notes of Maraschino cherry and rose petal preserve and a warming finish.

Resfeber was released as a distillery exclusive in the UK in February 2023.

Inspired by a simple but balanced cocktail like Rusty Nail, this cocktail has a pleasant spiciness from the Velvet Falernum and sweet citrus from the Cointreau. Ideal as a digestif.

50ml The Lakes Whiskymaker's Editions Resfeber
10ml Velvet Falernum
10ml Cointreau
Slice of fig, to garnish

Shake all the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a a tumbler and garnish with a slice of fig.

Cumbria hosts the Lakes Distillery, founded in 2011 by Paul Currie, co-founder of Isle of Arran Distillery. Situated within a renovated farmstead by River Derwent in a national park, they innovate due to limited space, using custom stills for whisky and a smaller one for Lakes Gin/Vodka. Whisky master Dhavall Ghandi joined in 2016, infusing tradition with fresh inspiration. The Lakes introduced The Whiskymaker’s Reserve in 2019, a series of single malts. Located near Penrith, it's a gem of heritage and innovation.
