Filey Bay Special Release Porter Cask (Batch #2) Single Malt is a special, limited release English Single Malt Whisky that has been matured in casks that previously held Wold Top Brewery’s Marmalade Porter.

New for Spring 2026. Only 990 bottles.

Bringing together the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery and the Wold Top Brewery, this single malt has been aged in casks that held Marmalade Porter. This has created a complex and fruity whisky with flavours of chocolate cereal, roasted malt and dark marmalade. The characteristic distillery fruity house style remains however, making this a complex and rewarding experience!

A Maturation Milestone. This second Porter Cask release represents a significant maturation milestone, showcasing the Spirit of Yorkshire's brewing, distilling and farming expertise. While the inaugural 2024 release explored the influence of Wold Top Brewery’s Marmalade Porter over an eight-month finish, Filey Bay Porter Cask #2 has matured in these specific casks for nearly three years.

Bolder, maltier, and carrying a deeper marmalade punch, it’s a complex, full-bodied dram. Expect chocolate cereal and roasted malt on the nose, opening up to a rich, dark marmalade finish.

Long and fruitful beer maturation. This is the longest beer maturation we have ever produced and probably one of the longest in the wider whisky industry.

This whisky has been matured for 4 years in first-fill ex-bourbon and then further 2 years and 10 months in the ex-porter casks, which were also originally ex-bourbon but had matured the distillery's whisky/Flagship prior to the beer.
