Drinks Kitchen Non-Alcoholic Aperitif Discovery Set: All Four Flavours, One Box
Made in Somerset from botanical distillations and extracts | Spiced Rhubarb, Herb Verde, Grapefruit Piquante, Orange Cinchona | 4 x 22.5cl (9 serves per bottle) | Vegan and gluten-free | Great Taste Award winners
What's in the Set
Spiced Rhubarb
22.5cl | Great Taste Award, 2 gold stars 2022
Rhubarb, juniper, and ginger with a chilli finish. Fruity and warming; the most approachable of the four. Mix with sparkling water or tonic. Works as a non-alcoholic mulled wine base warmed gently with orange peel and spices.
Botanicals: rhubarb, juniper, ginger, chilli
Herb Verde
22.5cl | Great Taste Award 1 gold star 2022 | Taste of the West Champion 2022
Mint, rosemary, thyme, and French gentian root. Clean, bright, and herbal. The most versatile of the four; works well in non-alcoholic Mojitos and Garden Spritz serves alongside Orange Cinchona.
Botanicals: mint, rosemary, gentian root, thyme
Grapefruit Piquante
22.5cl
Grapefruit, rosemary, mint, and chilli. Punchy, citrus-forward, and refreshing with a spicy edge. The natural choice for anyone who would usually reach for an Aperol Spritz or a Paloma.
Botanicals: grapefruit, rosemary, mint, chilli
Orange Cinchona
22.5cl | Great Taste Award winner
Bitter orange and cinchona bark: the most complex and grown-up of the four. Cinchona is the botanical that gives tonic water its characteristic bitterness; here it provides structure and depth alongside orange peel. The one for people who like their aperitifs properly bitter.
Botanicals: cinchona bark, bitter orange

Buy It For Yourself or Give It as a Gift
Buying for Yourself?
The discovery set is the natural starting point if you're new to Drinks Kitchen. Four flavours at 22.5cl each gives you enough to properly explore each one, find your favourite, and decide which larger format bottle (950ml) to order next. The 22.5cl bottles are also practical: each gives nine serves, so a set of four will last a household several weeks.
Giving as a Gift?
The set arrives in a gift box and works well for anyone who is moderating their alcohol intake, doing Dry January, or simply prefers not to drink. It avoids the "here's a soft drink" problem: these are properly grown-up flavours served in the same way as a full aperitif. Works for birthdays, Christmas, or as a considered thank you.
About Drinks Kitchen
Drinks Kitchen was founded in Somerset by Alli, who launched the range in 2021 after combining her drinks industry experience with a passion for botanical flavour. Rather than building non-alcoholic imitations of spirits, she developed a set of aperitifs designed to be good in their own right: concentrate-format, botanical, and built for mixing. The core three flavours all won Great Taste Awards in 2022; Herb Verde was also named Taste of the West Champion. Orange Cinchona, the most recent addition to the range, completes the four-flavour set available in this discovery box.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are Drinks Kitchen aperitifs completely alcohol-free?
A: Yes. Drinks Kitchen aperitifs contain no alcohol. They are made from botanical distillates, extracts, and water; the distillation process extracts flavour without carrying alcohol into the final product. They are suitable for people who do not consume alcohol for any reason.
Q: How many drinks does each 22.5cl bottle make?
A: Each 22.5cl bottle makes approximately 9 x 25ml serves. The standard dilution is 25ml of aperitif to 175ml sparkling water, over ice. The concentrate format means a small bottle goes further than it looks.
Q: Which flavour should I try first?
A: It depends on what you usually drink. If you enjoy fruity, lightly spiced drinks, start with Spiced Rhubarb. If you prefer clean and herbal, try Herb Verde. If you like bitter aperitifs such as Campari or Aperol, Orange Cinchona is the closest in character. Grapefruit Piquante suits people who enjoy a citrus-led, slightly spicy spritz.
Q: Can I use these in cocktails?
A: Yes, and they work well in that context. Herb Verde is particularly versatile: it forms the base of a non-alcoholic Mojito with lime and mint, or a Garden Spritz combined with Orange Cinchona and soda. Spiced Rhubarb works in a Rhubarb Cosmo with cranberry juice and lime. The Drinks Kitchen website carries full recipe suggestions for each flavour.
Q: How long do the bottles last once opened?
A: Once opened, refrigerate and use within 3 months. Unopened, check the best before date printed on the bottle. The preservatives used (Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate) help maintain stability without alcohol, which is why they feature in the ingredient lists.
Q: Are these suitable as a gift for someone who doesn't drink?
A: They work well in this context. The flavours are properly complex and grown-up; they are not soft drinks. The set arrives in a gift box. The only consideration is that the recipient needs access to sparkling water or soda to mix them with, since they are concentrates rather than ready-to-drink products.
