Booking Information

Cancellation Policy

Tour bookings can be rescheduled or refunded, free of charge, to within 7 days of your booked tour date. For example, if your tour booking is for a Saturday, the latest date you can request a reschedule or refund is the preceding Saturday. No refunds will be given after this point. Bookings can be rescheduled a maximum of two times, after which the booking becomes non-transferable and non-refundable.

Dogs Please be aware that the shop, bar and outdoor seating area are dog friendly, but no dogs are permitted in the distillery building itself.

Wheelchair Access The site is wheelchair-accessible in all areas apart from inside the cask warehouse (you can still view the casks and engage with the tour guide). The majority of the tour is standing; chairs are available on request

By Car

You’ll find Cooper King Distillery on the edge of Sutton-on-the-Forest, a small village 9 miles north of York. From the village roundabout, head north on Stillington Road (aka the B1363) for 0.8 miles. At the stone ‘Cooper King’ sign under the cherry tree, turn right down the private drive. They are located in the timber clad building towards the rear of the site.

Bus: Number 40 from York to Sutton-on-the-Forest (25 minutes), followed by a 0.8 mile walk along a roadside grass verge from the village to the distillery (15 minutes). The bus company can be contacted directly for queries on 01422 553576 or customer.services@transdevbus.co.uk.
