Burnt Faith Brandy, Batch #1, 70cl
Burnt Faith Brandy, Batch #1 is the inaugural batch from the new Burnt Faith distillery, based in from Walthamstow. Made from eaux-de-vie distilled in France, but aged in England in a mixture of Spanish Brandy, Bourbon, Pineau des Charentes and Cherry Liqueur casks.
The result is a stand-out brandy with complexity and bags of flavour: morello cherries, dark chocolate, toffee, spiced ginger and hazelnuts. Absolutely delicious!
Nose: Orange marmalade, strawberries, vanilla
Palate: Butterscotch, dried apricot, walnut
Finish: Smooth, wild cherry, milk chocolate
Distilled from four select grape varieties: Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat Blanc.
Wooden casks are where brandy develops its character and colour. Burnt Faith Brandy is finished in a combination of four different woods:
- Ex-American Bourbon cask which held Spanish brandy
- Ex-Pineau des Charentes
- Ex-Cognac
- Ex-Cherry Liqueur
