Fanny's Distillery Green Monkey London Dry Gin, 70cl
Green Monkey London Dry Gin is a small-batch gin from Fanny's Distillery near Bradford, built around juniper, coriander and citrus peel, with a handful of other botanicals the distillery keeps to itself. At 43% Alc., it's a straightforward, juniper-led London Dry rather than a heavily flavoured modern gin.
On the nose, expect clean juniper with a citrus lift; on the palate, coriander brings a light spiced warmth alongside the citrus peel, finishing dry and crisp. It's a gin built for a classic gin and tonic rather than an elaborate serve.
Fanny's Distillery began life as Fanny's Ale House, a real ale pub founder Marcus Lund opened in a former pet shop on Saltaire's Fanny Street in 1996, twenty years before he bought the distillery that now shares the pub's name.
Serve with a good Indian tonic and a wedge of lime.
