Green Monkey Absinthe is a tribute to tradition, distilled exclusively from the highest quality Wormwood based on a cherished 1855 recipe. Crafted in their historic copper Still called ”Fanny”, and perfected with pure limestone spring water, this absinthe captures the essence of its noble roots.

Alex's Tasting Note: "A soft, herbal green colour. A very harmonious earthy, rounded, minty nose with a rich sweetness - medicinal without being cloying. Very attractive on the nose neat, but benefits from a splash of water to soften the vigorous strength and to open up the grassy and aniseed notes. A stylish, naturally bold english absinthe.

Botanicals are sourced both locally and internationally and rigorously inspected and graded for quality. 68% Alc.

It all began back in 1983 when Marcus Lund was offered a Junior Brewer role developing a new Micro-Brewery pilot scheme for 4 of Tetley's pubs. In 1996, he bought a closed down Pet Shop in Saltaire (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and took the gamble of turning it into a Real Ale Pub. He named it Fanny's Ale House (as there was a Fanny Street just around the corner!). Having won the Bradford CAMRA “Pub of the Year” award and run the pub for 20 years, Marcus decided to diversify into spirits, buying his very own Distillery.

About Fanny's Distillery

Fanny's Distillery is based in Riddlesden, near Bradford. Founder Marcus Lund started out as a junior brewer in 1983, later opening Fanny's Ale House in a former pet shop on Saltaire's Fanny Street, before diversifying into spirits and buying the distillery that now bears the pub's name.
