East London Liquor Co. Chardonnay Rye Whisky is a rare single-cask, cask strength rye whisky. Made from a combination of 55% Norfolk Rye and 45% Marris Otter barley, it was then aged for 4.5 years in a single second-fill Chardonnay cask and bottled at a cask strength of 57% Alc. without any chill-filtration.

A distillation run of only 273 bottles.

Nose: Gently floral with bags of ripe appley fruit. Soft aromas of strawberries and apricots balance nicely with with fresh notes of hay.

Palate: Orchard fruits at the fore underpinned by creme caramel. Sweetly ripe, but nicely balanced with more developed tertiary characteristics such as leather and spice.

Finish: Gentle but persistent, with the fragrant orchard fruits still in evidence.
