Wharf Distillery

This Northamptonshire based distillery crafts premium spirits in its Portuguese copper stills

Based in South Northamptonshire, Wharf Distillery is currently the only grain-to-glass operation in Northamptonshire, meaning they actually ferment raw ingredients on site to create an initial base alcohol.

Laurence, the Head Distiller, crafts new artisan spirits from a diverse range of local ingredients in their handmade Portuguese copper alembic pot stills.

Wharf can make a wide range of products for us - from English Whisky, Gin, Rum and Brandy, as well as exotic blends and flavours of liqueurs and aperitifs.

Meet Laurence Conisbee

Laurence started out by making cider from the plentiful supply available locally in Northamptonshire. He won Champion Cider of Britain in 2011 with his Hard Core cider before. branching out into apple brandy.

In 2017 Laurence founded Wharf Distillery and he and the team have focused on making spirits and liqueurs ever since!

The Distillery

The distillery has capacity to produce both small and large batches in their copper-pot distillery.

Whilst still fully operational, the distillery itself is in the final stages of a refurbishment and will be open to visitors again in summer 2023.
