At 52% ABV and bottled at natural colour, Whiskymaker's Reserve No.4 is one of The Lakes Distillery's most complex yet approachable whiskies in the series to date. This is a new, well-balanced and contemplative whisky, ideal to enjoy after dinner or with good friends.

Nose: Rich Manuka honey with sun-dried dates and roasted cashew nuts
Palate: Velvety, with a rich interplay of dried fruits, nuts and spice
Finish: Vibrant with a long and creamy finish, ending with a burst of spices

Deliberated upon by an expert judging panel with a blind tasting, The World Whiskies Awards named its World’s Best winners across the breadth of categories within whisky, with The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.4 taking home the “World’s Best Single Malt Whisky”.

Cumbria hosts the Lakes Distillery, founded in 2011 by Paul Currie, co-founder of Isle of Arran Distillery. Situated within a renovated farmstead by River Derwent in a national park, they innovate due to limited space, using custom stills for whisky and a smaller one for Lakes Gin/Vodka. Whisky master Dhavall Ghandi joined in 2016, infusing tradition with fresh inspiration. The Lakes introduced The Whiskymaker’s Reserve in 2019, a series of single malts. Located near Penrith, it's a gem of heritage and innovation.
