Brightwell Bottle Distillery produce their own base spirit. This is a longer and more labour intense process but gives the distiller finer control over every nuance of the final liquid. This is in contrast to a compounder or a rectifier who re-use someone else's base spirit.

The distillery has a tiny output and produces gin, rum and also whisky, under its (Lord) Randolph brand.
