Two New English Whiskies for English Whisky Week 2026
New Arrivals · Spring 2026
English Whisky Week has arrived — and we couldn't think of a better way to mark it than with two outstanding new additions to the range. One from the Lakes, one from Yorkshire. Both limited, both exceptional, and both available now on the Digital Distiller site.
Whether you're a seasoned English whisky enthusiast or just beginning to explore what's being produced south of the border, this week is the perfect moment to pick up something genuinely special.
The Lakes Distillery — Whiskymaker's Reserve No. 6
The Lakes Distillery's Whiskymaker's Reserve series has been one of the most anticipated annual releases in English whisky. This limited re-release of No. 6 was matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and red wine casks — a triumvirate of influences that gives the spirit remarkable depth and sweetness.
Expect rich raisins, medjool dates, and exotic spice on the nose, with dried oak adding structure and length on the finish. It's a whisky that rewards patience in the glass.

Spirit of Yorkshire — Filey Bay Porter Cask Batch #2
Only 990 bottles of this release exist, making it one of the most limited expressions Spirit of Yorkshire has brought to market. Batch #2 of the Filey Bay Porter Cask is finished in casks that previously held Marmalade Porter from Wold Top Brewery — a local Yorkshire craft brewer — and the results are remarkable.
The porter cask influence adds layers of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, and a citrus marmalade sweetness that sits beautifully alongside Filey Bay's characteristic coastal character. This is a whisky that tells you exactly where it comes from.
At 990 bottles worldwide, we'd encourage you not to deliberate for too long.

English Whisky Week 2026
"There has never been a better moment to discover what English distillers are capable of."
English Whisky Week runs until the 26th of April — a dedicated (but frankly far too short!) moment in the calendar to celebrate the remarkable growth of English whisky as a category: the distillers, the wonderful diversity of expressions, and the communities that have made it all possible.
At Digital Distiller, we've been stocking and championing English whisky from day one. It's at the heart of everything we do. With over 65 distilleries now operating in England with stills up and running, the future looks brighter than ever — and more whisky is being laid down today than at any point in history.
If you'd like to explore the geography of it all, take a look at our interactive English Whisky Map — a useful way to see just how widely the craft has spread across the country, from Northumberland to Cornwall.
