For Caduro X, White Peak have added spirit from alternate distillation cut points alongside the standard distillate. The alt-cut spirit carries a brighter, more tropical character and a subtler uptick in peat; vatting the two together extends the range of flavours in the finished whisky. To proof it down to 46.8% Alc., they used their \"special waters\" technique: low-strength spirit matured in oak casks, which carries water-soluble flavours that plain water cannot.
